Ok, sounds like there was some interest in starting a thread for showing off your car, so here it is. Pictures are required here, as well as a little description of what has been done to your car. Can't wait to see all of the Intrigues!

Here's mine, I'm in between a few mods right now so I'll have more pics in a week or two when they're done.

2000 GX with about 134k miles, no major issues other than a slow start issue that I fixed.
-HID low beams, replaced all internal 194 bulbs with blue LED bulbs (and cornering lights), and blue LED strips under the seats, aftermarket stereo and 6x9's, Cold Air Intake, for now a Thrush glasspack with the rest of the exhaust stock, Pontiac torque star wheels (in the next day or two), tinted tail lights, cleared corners, more to come still. I'm planning a shoot for my car tomorrow maybe, depends on the weather and if I switch out my wheels like I want to.

133K Miles
Problems: Replaced ignition switch, camshaft position sensor, thermostat, rear struts, water pump, and torque converter.

Mods: JVC KD-A605 Head Unit, Kicker deck & door speakers, 2x 10" Infinity subs, 600W Pioneer Amp. All courtesy bulbs replaced with blue SMD bulbs, blue dash panel SMD's, red brake SMD's, white trunk LED strips, 8000K low beams, 6500K high beams, 10,000K fog lamps, blue cornering bulbs.

Nothing wrong with that, the thread is just to post up some pics, doesn't matter if you've just done routine maintenance or gone crazy with mods. I know they aren't the most popular car for modding but you never know. There's one on Car Domain with a Knight's Performance body kit (I think it's like Jaybird1 or something) and it looks awesome.

Yeah you've kept up the gloss nicely.

Stock Intrigues have six spoke wheels (either straight ends 98-99 or forked ends 00-02), so putting 5 spokes on there causes a brief mental pause: "Huh? What year was that?"

job done.window regulator replaced also.i got to take a better picture.car is never in the garage except for service,very good paint on these cars.

I agree with the paint, I haven't done anything besides wash it and occasionally wax it, that's how it is even after 11 years in Chicago before I brought it up here to WI. The only issue is the paint on my hood seems to be getting weaker, I have a little flaking/rust on the driver front corner and some rock chips in the front middle.

And yeah, my stock wheels were the forked 6 spokes, painted those black originally and then switched to the polished 5 spokes, I think they make it look cleaner.

More Pics

Had the day off and nothing to do, so I took a few more pics. It was snowing a little so all of the little white specks that look like chips in the car are snowflakes, just to clear that up I've been wanting to do a shoot at this spot for a while and only had time to get a few, but I'll probably be back with a few of my friends and their w-bodies.

Yeah I need to spiff mine up a bit and show a little more pride in ownership... It looks like the daily driver that it is.

But I concur with what y'all have said, the paint quality was very good on these cars. I probably wash mine twice a year and it sleeps outdoors. The paint has oxidized some but really does not look bad for its age. And the only rust spots on the car are where I dinged it with a bicycle carrier.

Washed the car today so I figured I'd take some pics. As everyone else has says, the paint is good on these cars. She's suffered some scratches and dings over the years, but looks remarkably good for 160k. The only thing that bothers me is the rip in the rear bumper cover, going to replace that when I find a nice, original-paint junkyard replacement.

someone backed into the side of my intrigue in a parking lot. Basically their bumper dented in one of the rear doors. It's been almost a year and there's no rust or anything where it's dented in. Since my car is dark, i don't even think you can tell it's there. Especially since there's no rust or peeling paint.

they did a pretty good job painting these intrigues.

I'm old enough to remember 1970s cars where you could see the corners of the trunk in the back window ... so I won't say the Intrigue has the *best* visibility of any car that I have owned.

But, it is exceptionally good. When I check out today's cars with their rising beltlines, and thick pillars, I think "ugh". That is a design trend that I hope will run its course.

I briefly considered getting a Camaro (you'll find my posts on Camaro5.com) but I decided to keep driving my Intrigue for a while. It's 200 pounds lighter, "fast enough", you can *see* out of it, and ... I OWN the thing. Man, do I hate making years of car payments!

Looking good Christauph, ever consider clearing the corners? I like those wheels a lot, what kind are they? And about the bumper cover, I have the same issue with mine. Previous owner apparently had a nasty habit of backing into things so I have quite a few big paint chips in mine. Touch up paint helped a lot but the edges of the chips peeled up a little bit so you can see the outlines of them still (hence no pics of the back of my car).

@ swagled- I agree with you on the rising beltlines and thick pillars. Unfortunately, I can't see this trend dissipating any time soon because it's an easy way to comply with safety regulations. But that's still no excuse for the Camaro, that thing is terrible visibility wise. My uncle was one of the engineers on that car and I got to drive one right when they came out. I had contemplated getting one before that, but one drive was all it took to convince me otherwise. Sure, it was fun, when I wasn't concerned about hitting something I couldn't see out of the gun slit windshield. There's no way I could live with it on a daily basis. If I were to get a new pony car, it'd have to be the Mustang.

@ Nick1233- Thanks! Never really considered clearing the corners, at this point in its life I'm just trying to keep the car running well and looking decent. That tear in the cover was courtesy of the previous owner as well, I'd thought about trying to patch and paint it, but there's a lot of other scratches in the cover so I'm just looking to replace it. I found a cherry one at the junkyard recently but it was the "other" Intrigue silver.

The wheels are MOD Wheels Gunmetal, 17x7.5 I think. I got them super cheap off of ebay a few years ago, I don't think the company even exists anymore. They used to have a website but I couldn't find it when I looked just now. I like them but the finish wasn't well done. Not sure if you can tell from the pics, but they are a combination of gunmetal paint and plain, clear coated aluminum. The gunmetal sections are holding up fine, but the clear-coat has failed on the bare aluminum parts, so there is corrosion coming through. I know a guy that does good, affordable powder coating, so if they ever get bad enough, I may just have him re-finish them.

Yeah, I'm past the "keeping it running" stage (for now), and I'm considering doing a built SC'ed 3800 over the winter and swapping it in during spring break, even though my 3.5 is 100% fine right now. I figure if I can't pull off the swap, then I pop the 3.5 back in and sell the built motor and life goes on. And if I do pull off the swap, I hope to be able to track my Intrigue and hopefully be under a 14 sec 1/4 depending on what I do to the engine.
