Post Ignition Switch/Lock Cylinder Replacement

Hello to everyone... I was having multiple issues with my 2000 Olds Intrigue that included no high blower, then no blower at all, climate control stopped working, cruise stopped working, rear defroster didn't work either... I know it wasn't required to replace the lock cylinder but I went ahead and replaced it anyway because the original key was very loose and it could be removed from the cylinder in the ACC and ON position... So, I did the repair yesterday, three hours of work and everything went well. Test drove the car, everything was back to normal and working perfectly.
I get up this morning to drive to work and... wait for it... The key won't turn the ignition switch!! It acts like it is the wrong key but it isn't.... I can't figure this out...
Any help of suggestions would be most welcome. Thanks.

So you replaced the cylinder and key... or did you swap the slugs to match the old key?

Yes, I replaced the cylinder AND the key.
