I'm having so many problems with my window regulators in my P.O.S. Alero. The clips break and/or motor problems. Is there anyway to convert power windows to manual crank? Yes, I'm that fed up.

You should only have to do this repair one in the life of the car. It's not hard and there is a great YouTube vid that walks you through it. The whole repair will cost you an afternoon and about $100.00 total.

This clip and window reg. issue usually only happens in cold weather when the rain seal freezes to the glass. Or in areas of salt spray or sea air.

When I bought our Alero for my son's first car we later noticed that each of the doors had a broken clip. I changed those clips and all was good. Later both of the clips broke on the drivers door and I again changed both of them. Just last week I again I had 2 broken clips on the drivers door and 1 on the passenger door. Instead of changing them I used heavy wire and wired the broken clips together on both sides and they should never come apart again. I also had changed the Window Regulator on the drivers side after the 1st time both clips broke. This is just crazy....
