Hi, Im new to the forum. Just bought a 1989 Olds 88 Royale Brougham w/ 78,000 original miles. The Service Engine Soon light came on last Tuesday. I grounded the A-B terminals in the ALDL connector and got a Code 64, Does anyone know what this code is for? Im only getting around 22 mpg right now. Car runs great, did notice a miss every once in a while, while sitting at a stop sign. Things I have done are replace air filter , clean MAF sensor, check spark plugs (regapped #3, all where clean)and replace front and rear brakes.

EGR flow check. That's the code 64. Maybe something clogged or sticking in your EGR system?
