Reservoir full but low coolant light on Intrigue 2000

Basically my car had been overheating, replaced thermostat, it worked for a while, now it overheats again.

This time around, my low coolant light comes on, but my reservoir is full. Could this mean bad water pump possibly? A while back I had it off and everything seemed just fine (described in above link). Is there a blockage somewhere? I've heard of some guys using an infrared thermometer to make sure things are at the correct temps in the engine compartment and look for possible blockages. Any thoughts?

Your fluid level sensor may be getting sticky.

did you check the coolant in the radiator itself? ive had the hose inside the cap for the overflow tank fall off on 2 different intrigues. It couldnt pull coolant from the overflow into the radiator when it needs it. in both cases it ended up being in the bottom of the overflow tank.
