Whenever I turn the steering wheel near it's limit, the power steering seems to become jumpy. It's only when I'm turning to the extreme left or right, but it's very odd. It's like the sensory for the power steering has gaps when you reach the extreme right or left of your steering limit. When you reach the limit, it stops completely (it's not like the steering wheel will just keep turning over and over and over) it just starts acting kinda jumpy just before you reach that limit (about a half of rotation before you reach it), you get what I mean? Does anybody else have this problem?

Here's an interesting story, my grandma got the first Aurora in our family (also a '96) and we liked it so much that we got one for ourselves too. We love ours, but my grandma went through two engines because they just quit working. The car became really loose after that and it was never the same, but there was a long time where my mom had the same kind of car as her mom.
^^^Of course, now the car belongs to me. I'm just thrilled about it too. I loved the car from the moment I saw first saw it (at it's debut in like '92 I think it was). There is truly no cooler car on the road than an Aurora and it's truly a pleasure to drive.

Now my grandma has a Lexus ES300. It's a very nice car, an '03, but I think it's still not quite as nice as the old Aurora.

The people who lived at the very end of the block also had a 96' Aurora for many years (they recently sold it) but believe it or not, there was a time when their were three white Auroras on our block! Now there's only one, mine. :(

You can search the TSB's for more information on this problem. Your GM dealer can tell you what is required to fix the problem.
