After seeing a bunch of Intrigues hitting the PickNPull
, and my personal experience buying a leaky one, I'd thought I'd post an FYI to check / replace the oil pressure sensor if you have an oil leak.
I had my car into a reputable mechanic, and they said the timing belt gasket was leaking requiring a $1000 job to replace it. After noticing the low oil pressure light turn on intermittantly, I ended up changing the oil pressure sensor which solved my oil leak problem. My car is now bone dry underneath whereas it was leaking a ton of oil after a drive.
The sensor is easy to access after removing the passenger tire and unclipping the connector. It is best to have a special oil pressure sensor socket as these are shaped weird. Sensor costs like $20. Hope that helps avoid some cars heading to the junkyard!
