So I've been meaning to take my rocker panels off for a while now. My friend did it last night to his Intrigue. He didn't have too much rust underneath.

Well I just spent the last two hours getting mine off (those clip retainers are a BITCH!). Driver side isn't bad; just a rust spot here and there. The passenger side is a totally different story. A lot of the side clips were missing, allowing stuff to get in there and eat away. Got a good rot hole that's gonna need patching and the underside is all rust.

Got a place down the street from work I've done computer work for. The owner is nice and should be able to give me a decent quote (I hope) to get it all taken care of.

I'm just gonna wire brush or sand blast mine & paint with rustoleum. nobody is going to see it after the plastic is back on

I have a very visable hole that is visable even with the plastic on, cause it's right there the rear bottom corner end of the rear passenger door meets the rest of the body.

Dam. I need to get on top of this too. There's a couple of spots on the passenger side that I can see bubbling above the trim. Sad, the pain on the rest of the car is beautiful.

My father replaced his rear shocks on his '99 STS. Found a rot hole right on the frame where the top of the spring meets the frame. Looks like we'll be car shopping. Currently looking at another '03 STS in Florida on eBay.
