I have a 2001 olds intrigue and my abs, trac off, parking brake, service vehicle soon, pcs lights all come on at the same time. But when parked overnight and started in the morning its off and back on again when driven for about 1/2 hour or so. I took it to the shop and got an error code of c00550 which is a ecu malfunction. The mechanic told me its the brake control module under the hood that has an internal fault. Has anyone had the same problem with this? or could it be something else? I just want to make sure because it's very expensive to replace. Thanks in advance.

My intrigue pulled a nice little stunt like that the other night. Minor difference is that mine only brought on the Service Vehicle Soon, PCS and Track Off lights (ABS and Brake were off). Hasnt Happend since, but I am kind of biting my nails. Have not had the codes read with Tech 2 yet. Just curriouse as to what a shop quoted you.

Check this out: Experienced idiot lights on the dash coming on when driving (not just one, a whole bunch at once).

This was repaired by simply replacing the nut on the junction box (control box) near the battery, by replacing the standard nut with a locking nut (road vibrations was causing separation and arching thus the cause of the flicking lights / idiot dash lights to light up like a Christmas tree).

Mine does the same. about 6 months ago i drove down to Alabama about 4 hrs into the trip the pcs trac off and service vehicle light came on. The same coming home. Mine only does it on really long trips.

Here is a picture of the engine with air pump system and the other without the air pump system and both are year 2000 engines. Both vins check out for the engines. The engine without the air pump system was made a little earlier than the engine with the air pump.

The air pump engine has a small pen hole where exhaust is released from the cylinder head and bolt holes for the air induction pipe to mount to the cylinder head.
The non air pump engine has no pen hole for the exhaust to be released and no bolt holes to mount the air induction system from the motor we pulled out.
