Hi, guys, I'm at my wit's end here. I hope you guys can help me. The starter drive was bad in my friend's '93 Achieva, so I changed the starter. Now the darn car won't start! The motor turns over, but it won't start. I can hear the fuel pump kick in but no start. I pulled the new starter to see if I had maybe cut wires or something, but they appear okay. I did see that there is what appears to be a large smog or vacuum hose that looks like it came loose from under the intake. It got dark on me, so I had to quit. Oh, it is the 2.3 QuadFour. Where are all the fuse panels located? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Happy, happy, joy, joy, I found out why the car wouldn't start! Like most front wheel drive cars, the engine components are shoe-horned in. I had a very hard time removing the old starter and installing the new one. I didn't initially see it, but behind the starter is the crank sensor and harness. I had smacked one of the starters against the harness and shorted it out. I fixed that, and all is well now.
