I am needing some help on figuring out why the lower intake keeps blowing out the RTV seal on the driver side of the engine below the thermostat housing. I need to do it again because it has started to leak again in the same are from the last two time I have done it. So now I am up to my third time doing this in less a year and I am starting to get a little upset because pulling the upper end apart on a 3.1 is a 6 hour job and I would prefer to do something else that is a little more funnier the keep rebuilding the upper end of the engine every three or four months. Could this problem relate to a bad MAP or Canister Purge Solenoid or an I looking in the wrong direction. Also each time I have had to re due the intake it is always the driver side RTV seal the keep leaking. I'm am using the FelPro metal/rubber gaskets along with new lower intake bolts torqued to the proper specs (10 Foots Pounds). Each time I have did this I put a thick bead on RTV and had a good friend help me lower the lower half of the intake into place so I know there will be no movement because any movement when it gets set into place will cause you problems from what I have been told because it will mess up the RTV seal. So what is going on here. Is it a sensor problem causing me this headache or could I have a warped lower intake. Thanks.
