My 95 88 LSS AC blower won't stop after shutting off the system(auto climate control) or the ignition. I have to unplug the blower itself. There doesn't appear to be a relay for it under hood as the power wires come from behind the glovebox. I'm unable to see clearly which relays are which and I don't have a schematic to tell me what is what.
Anyone have any experience with this problem?
Thanks,:o

The '94 Ninety-Eight that my wife used to drive had the same problem; the power windows also had power to them with the switch off. If she didn't drive the car over the weekend, the battery would be dead.

A local mechanic could not pinpoint the problem, nor could a local auto electric shop. I ended up taking it into the Olds dealer (gulp!). After gutting the interior looking for a short, they traced the problem to the ABS computer of all things! The technician described the problem as a short in the computer that allowed current to feed backward into part of the electrical system.

The ABS computer cost about $500 if I recall and they charged me about $300 in labor, much less time than they actually had in it, thank God. But, the problem was resolved.

Sometimes it is cheaper and less frustrating to take the car to the people who designed and built it!
