Really quite simple and is documented in your Owners Manual.

Open drivers side door.
Remove fuse panel.
Put key in ignition an turn to "ON" position (do not start).
Press the "RESET" button once (located inside fuse panel)
- Change oil light will flash -
Press the "RESET" button once more and you will hear a chime.
- Light will go off -
Key off the car, replace the fuse panel and you're all done.

Easier way, since it's a GM.... Turn the key to on but don't start the car, hit the gas pedal three times in five seconds (so literally one right after the other), and you'll hear the chime and that's it. :-)

Nice advice Jlarson. I'll try that next time. The light doesn't always flash for me when I press or press and hold the reset button.

I'm new to this forum and a bit confused... What is this post suppose to be for? whats it reset

This method actually works better. I suspect that this is the case because the button on fuse box has corroded contacts.
