Guys I have a 85 delta 88 with a 307 with a th400. Recently I swapped my rear gear to a 3.73 seeing how I was going to be running a 32" tire (26s) with the gear. After having the gear installed, my 400 was starting to hit 2nd and 3rd gear before 40mph. So while I was driving, the speed limit was 55mph, and my engine was straining as I was accelerating. My guess was because I had already ran through all 3 of my gears before 40mph. So i'm running 40mph and up in 3rd gear. What do you think the problem is? I've been reading about the governor springs kit so purchased one made by B&M and I plan to have it installed to make my shift points a little later. I've also read some things about the vacuum modulator. Let me know if you have anymore suggestions.
