Hey everyone, I'm Ralph from Kansas City MO, thanks for having me. I have a 91 Oldsmobile 98 that I've recently replaced the intake manifold gaskets on, I'm hoping that somebody can tell me the correct way to seal the upper plenum. I should probably add that this is an aluminum tuned port injection system. When I took it apart there were 2 large o rings around the water jackets and it was evident that it had been leaking coolant. The service manual calls for nothing but Loctite Instant Gasket Eliminator, when I went to the dealership they told me the same thing. Against my better judgement I put it back together using the sealer and no o' rings, everything is fine until hard acceleration and it dogs out like the gas is bad. I think it may be sucking coolant. Any advice would be appreciated.
