Need some information about alero 3.4L

Hi, today,I got a problem with my alero v6 3400 2002. When I accelerate, RPMs was doing very weird up,down,up,down but I countinued to drive because I was almost home, and 1 mile later, the car litteraly died while I was driving, the battery light and oil light came on. When I restarted the engine nothing was weird all was ok. But I noticed a weird noise in my engine, could this be the alternator? And how much would this job cost?

it sounds like its the fuel filter, the same thing happened on my chevy corsica, when u hit the gas, it almost died, but idle sounded fine
