Little help and advice needed please. Been fighting a No Crank No Start problem on a 02 Alero V6. I know PASSLOCK, purchased a new ignition cylinder, installed and went through the 30min plus relearning sequence. Still No Crank No Start. So what I am trying to do being there is snow on the ground, is find the Starter Relay to see if I am getting proper voltage to this and to the starter. But wire diagram shows that there should be a Starter Relay in the Fuse Block Under the Hood. But In the list of relays there is not on that says Starter. Are they calling it something else or is it in a different location? Thank you very much. Need to get this thing up and running.

Hi Dave, Passlock will let your rig start, then cut out in about 10 seconds, you'll get the Security light when this happens so it's likely that it is OK. Check the simple stuff first; Cables, wires. The main grounds are on the rad. frame infront of the battery. Clean those guys up, they like to rust.

There is a fusable link (Blueish Wire from the power box to the starter) always suspect that in a no crank/no start on this chassis. Look for burns and/or swelling. If it's bad, be sure you replace it with GM fuse wire. It's an important safey feature.

Your starter relay 'is' the solinoid on the starter itself. That my be bad.

A good test is to CAREFULLY take a 10 gage wire and jump the small post on the starter to the big post... just brush it. If the starter 'jumps' your good to go there. The issue is in the circuit... If not, swap out that starter.

According to a website I've been looking at re: my '04 Alero 2.2 cid it shows the location of a starter relay in the fusebox In the engine
as #11. compartment
