I have a 1995 Achieva S V-6 3.1. The Heat/Ac Fuse Keeps breaking. I have no blower fan. I have confirmed that the blower motor is good, I disconnected it and the fuse still popped. I was thinking maybe the resistor is bad, but I can't seem to locate it. Anyone know.

Thanks

IMHO, your best bet is to get a GM service manual.

On ebay, search for:
1995 Achieva service manual
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=1995+Achieva+service+manual&_sacat=0&_odkw=1995+Achieva+manual

I see a few listing for both of the manuals for ~$20 (incl S&H)
For example, I see a listing now for both of the GM service manuals for $19 - free S&H. Under the title:
Genuine 1995 Grand AM Achieva Skylark N Platform Service Repair Manual 2 Books

IMHO, it's the best way to save time and money. :)

Good Luck!

BTW, the blower resistor almost always fails as an open, not a short. The "resistor" is really just wires with specific properties and known resistance.

Often, the blower resistor is next to the blower fan, because those wires often need air flow to keep them from overheating and melting.

Don't know if this is the right year. But, the placement should be close/similar.

Part #19 in the following diagram:

The blower resistor almost always fails as an open.
