ok people. you got an oldsmobile bravada ,envoy or trailblazer with rear air suspension and the air pump goes out. i got the fix to get you up and off the ground quick.as long as your air lines and bags are still good. i went to my local oreily's parts store and got a monroe air shock repair kit. it has air line and a 3 way fitting to put 2 air lines in the sides and the other side is a valve to pump them up with an air compresser. now the lines on your car are one size bigger than the replacemant lines in the kit, so you will have to carefully use a drill and drill the valve just a little bit. the factory lines will fit right in and finger tight the compression nuts and give it some air. also unplug and remove the air pump. so far no check engine lights or air ride lights came on. if anyone experiences air ride pump problems and want to use this cure let me know and i can guide you through it. my pump still ran but didnt produce any air. that is also easy to check. any rear air suspension probs give me a hollar. i've lbeen all over mine.i am still gonna remove the bags and use the coil spring conversion package but am waiting till money allows.

Booboochipp, I have 2002 Bravada that the air compressor never seems to turn on. So the car is sagging. 120K miles. If I flip the switch to use the air compressor hose I get air out of the compressor. It's acts like the switch to activate the compressor to level the car may not be working. Is there a fuse I should check or where is the switch located? Any ideas would be appreicated.

there are 2 sensors, one on each side of the vehicle.they have an arm on them.between the frame and the rear end.when the frame goes up and down the arm moves and the sensor is triggered and the pump kicks on.one sensor for each side.take the arm out of the rubber holder, turn the key on and move the arm manually and the pump should kick on.if that dont work go and do it to the other side. if that dont trigger it to turn on then chances are the pump is junk. i am not exactly 100 percent how the pump is set up but mine was the same with being able to get the air hose to work but not the pump to pump the car up.from what i remember there is no fuses and relays to mess with. try the sensors and let me know what u come up with

the sensors are easy to get to. i believe thry are right behind the tire. if i remember correctly i took the tires off and was right there. move em slowly and see if the pump kicks on.if the pump kicks on and the vehicle dont go up then the pump probably has bad guts. one of those sensors should have kicked that pump on

glad to be of help.glad to hear the t-valve worked good for ya.they can bring down the cost of the new pumps or just keep em.
