Hey All,

I bought an '02 Aurora that came with an aftermarket HID headlight kit. Recently one of the bulbs burned out and I want to replace it. Do I need to buy a whole new kit, or can I simply replace the bulb? I don't know much about HID kits, and a quick internet search was fruitless in answering my question.

Thanks

If it's a failed bulb, you can replace just the bulb. You can also replace just the ballast, if it's the ballast failed and not the bulb. OTGH, the lamps will be mismatched - and at the pricing at places like DDM Tuning, you may decide to just get a whole new kit.

Are yours the "Spray light out there and blind everybody" halogen replacements, or the "I spent the extra bucks and got my light out where I could see" projectors?

Just an FYI second gen Aurora's have built in projectors like the Seville.

To the OP, as Ralph said, you can replace just the bulbs. I'd also go with the suggestion of ordering two bulbs so the colors aren't mismatched.
