I have a 99 oldsmobile bravada with 74,000 miles (yes 74,000). I bought it last year with 64,000 miles. I have driven it from memphis tn to florida and back. Only thing i have ever had to replace was the water pump. Well for the past 6 months or so when it rains or gets really cold my truck doesn't want to start. i have had 2 different mechanics look at it. we have checked for spark and checked the fuel pressure.. and replaced the crank sensor but a month later the truck still wont start sometimes. I've looked for an answer every where online and seems like nobody can figure this out. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT CAUSES THIS?!?! SEEMS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE

I have a guy at work that has a 4.3 liter engine in his 1996 silverado. He has the same issues. When it happens, he replaces the distributor cap and it cures the starting problems. He says that a crack from heat cycles lets moisture in causing issues.

Your cap and distributor look to be the same between the two vehicles.
