I have owned my 2001 Alero Sedan for about 2 months now and I am very happy with this car.

This is a great car for everyday use. I get great gas mileage, the interior is comfortable, especially if I am driving for a long time. The back seat is roomy even when I have the seat all the way back. The trunk is a good size also. I can go grocery shopping and get everything in without any problem. The cargo net is nice too. I love the sound system as well. I thought it was pretty powerful for a stock stereo system. The traction control worked great this winter. It helped me get through the snow that my previous car wouldn't be able to handle. This is my first car with cruise control, and I love it. It responds very well on the road with accelerating and decelerating. It also has a power sunroof. Now that spring is here, I am always using it, and I will never have another car without one.

I have the 3.4L engine with 170 HP. This car can pick up and go. No hesitation at all. I am very happy with the cars acceleration and horsepower. It gets great gas mileage (unless I am driving and speed up very fast many times, then that's a different story about gas mileage :p )

There are a few minor things that did bother me. I have had only one problem with this car. My ignition locked up on me and had to have it towed and repaired. Other than that, the car is wonderful. There are a few squeaks and knocks in the interior that may need adjusted once I figure out where the sounds are actually coming from. A panel in the driver's door seems to have something loose inside and it irritates me when I am driving sometimes. Also, when playing my Cd's, for some reason, the right side speakers don't like to work. It might have to do with the fact that the CD player needs a good cleaning or something inside needs fixed, but nothing major. Other than all that, I love this car and I hope to have it for a while. It's a shame that GM did away with Oldsmobile. They were such nice cars and still are. Hopefully Pontiac and Buick can strive against the fate Oldsmobile faced.

Well, that's all. I loaded pictures of my car to the gallery. Check them out.

I am glad to see you are happy with your Alero. My best friend has one, and loves it. She refers to it as the cheap, slow version of my car. Not that either of the above is true. Just thought you'd find that humorous. Welcome!

Yeah, it pretty much is. Alero is a baby version of the Aurora. I would have really liked to find an Aurora instead, but I really like my Alero. i like the picture of yours. I've always liked those cars.
