New to the site, and a new Olds owner. I have a 89' 88 delta. The heat works on it, but I need to set it to high to even feel a mild push. The blower motor isn't ratteling or anything and I can hear it working. Does anyone know how complex the ducting system is in this model or is there a valve type shutter on it somewhere. (my dad's old truck had a shutter under the dash that would closed if knocked).

The second thing is: This ride looks rough. Burgundy paint that's peeling and faded. I've done custom paintjobs before on several of my vehicles and ones for friends. Now I'm curious as to what to do with this. So please give me some ideas. I want it kind of unusual, but to look like it was professional. Any help?

The problem with the paint was very common to GM vehicles in the late 80's through the early 90's. Due to improperly applied primer, the paint will delaminate and peel. The only way to repaint the car is to strip it down to bare metal and apply a modern primer first.

Back in 1992, I successfully filed a claim with GM and had my 89 Cutlass Calais SL repainted for free. Of course, now it's too late to go that route.

Sorry about that, I should have been a little more clear. The actual painting process I won't have an issue with. I've done this plenty of times. I'm just thinking if it should be "theme based" or just an unusual color. I want something original. I want it to either make people say "wow!" or to make them laugh, or both :D I'm pretty laid back and I don't care what people think, so if you have any ideas or suggesstions, please throw them at me.

You should get some ideas at this site. :D

That was great! Most were a lil too pimped out for me though. I'm still thinking and planning. I've got a while. But some of those were unbelieveable.
