One of your valve stems has malfunctioned if the pressure in your tires is ok. There is probably someway to pull a code and tell you what
pressure sensor is bad. Then just change it and reset the computer

This is for a 2001 so I don't know if its the same as the 99 but I think it is.
To reset (calibrate) the system:
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (engine not running).
2. Press and release the RESET button located inside
of the driver’s side instrument panel fuse block.
The CHANGE OIL light will begin to flash.
3. Press and release the RESET button again.
The CHANGE OIL light will go off, and the
LOW TIRE PRESSURE light will start flashing.
4. When the LOW TIRE PRESSURE light is flashing,
press and hold the RESET button until the
chime sounds.

My Alero did the same thing after I got the tires replaced, even though I have the correct tire pressure in them the light still remains on. I am going to try and reset the codes and I will tell you how it worked out.
