Hi Everyone,
I'm looking for help on how to remove the supercharger snout to get to the coupler on my Olds. Has anyone done this work themselves successfully? I'm looking for a step-by-step / video on what to remove to access the snout bolts. It's not as easy as it seemed when I first started the job.
The issue I'm having is that I can't even get access to the snout because the steel part that the alternator, power steering pump, and tensioner pulley are bolted to is in the way. I didn't think to take a close-up photo when I was doing the work last weekend, but I could do that if it would be helpful.
I have the L67 Series I (Gen 3) supercharged engine. The reason for wanting to replace the coupler is the infamous "gravel in a barrel" noise I've been hearing for a while. I have all the parts I need, and I'm trying to do the work myself to save money.
I've searched this forum for this topic with no luck, and I haven't been able to find an answer anywhere online. The few videos that pop up on youtube show a coupler replacement for a different series of supercharger that apparently has an easier access configuration.
Thanks in advance for the help!
