1992 98 Oil Pressure sender issue

I had a situation where the oil light would come on and off at random.

SO I changed the oil pressure sender unit.

The light does not come on anymore and I drove the car for a solid hour.

HOWEVER, when I drove up a hill I got a chime and a message showed up on the digital dash

"Oil Pressure Sender Prob"

WHY?

What could it know?

What could even be wrong?

Ok the other message I get on the information center screen is "ECM DATA LINK PROB".

However this morning when I started the car the only message I had was "OIL PRESSURE SENDER PROB"

Then the message disappeared.

So I scrolled through all of my information center settings and they all seemed to be working which was the first I have ever seen.

I even got information about the oil pressure.

So everything seemed to be working fine.

But only for about 15 minutes.

Then the "ECM DATA LINK PROB" Message came back up and I no longer had access to some of the information.

I think I was still able to retrieve oil pressure information though.


Can anyone shed any light on this?

Sounds like ya' got one a' them eelectrical gremlins.

Know anyone with an OBD one scanner?

Is the CE light on?

Do you have a code?
