I have an 1981 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight Regency with a stock 307. I need advice on replacing the Olds 307 with a Chevy 350. I want to install it with headers, an electric fan, proper brackets (particularly for AC because I live in Florida), Edelbrock Air-Gap Intake Manifold P/N 2601, Edelbrock Performer Manual Choke 600cfm Carb P/N 1405, Mallory Distributor and Ignition, and a mild camshaft. I will be backing this engine up with a 700R4 transmission. So any thoughts, advice or websites with Olds 98 project cars concerning engine mounts, headers, possible drive shaft changes (longer or shorter), u-joints, suspension upgrades, tranny mounts, mild shift kit, intake manifold clearance, pros and cons of OEM pulley setup vs. serpentine set up, flywheels, and maybe a Posi-Trac rear end would also be quite helpful. If nothing else, any and all advice that would put me in the right direction.
Thanks a Million, Dirtee Redd!
P.S. I am also going to need help in finding outside opera lights, rear key cover with Olds logo, inside dome cover, hood ornament rear and backup tail lens.
