I'm driving myself crazy because for past month I've been replacing my starter. Soon as I put one in a few later the flexplate and starter sounds like two screaming animals fighting. I'm using oreillys Ultima starter and in the morning I'm going to try my 4th one this one is a Wilson starter. I wish I could find an original or the part number. I'm hoping it's the brand or maybe I need a high pro race car type of starter and an MSD ignition upgrade. If anyone knows the solution and the correct amount of shims.. please please let me know.
