1967 442 code P Pewter Silver color match for paint

Hello everyone,

I am posting on behalf of my friend Bob who doesn't have a computer. He owns two 1967 442s. His first one is a code R Spanish Red car that is completed.

His second car is a code P Pewter Silver car about to be painted. The paint shop wants him to come up with a code by next week. He is in a panic because the correct code for the car when mixed in waterbased color doesn't match his 1967 color book from Oldsmobile.

He is hoping someone on the forums may have experience with this color and knows of a paint code that is close to the original Pewter Silver. His paint shop is insisting on using PPG water base color with PPG solvent clearcoat.

Any ideas? Much appreciated! Bob

Hi Pat,

Thank you for the code. I think Bob had this one sprayed out as a PPG paint last week and for some reason it wasn't matching his book. We used this website to get the codes:
