Fuel pump install

For a while now I've been having some driveability issues with my 1988 Delta coupe. Hard starts, stumbles after a restart, etc. I concluded it was the 28 year old fuel pump letting me know it wanted to retire. So, I obliged and sent it to a fitting end in the trash can.
The replacement process took me a bit of time, but it went smoothly with no issues. Here's a few photos I took.

And I'm sorry the photos show up sideways. They're upright on my PC and I don't know why they're going sideways.

The pics are not coming through at all.

Did you complete the repair?

Did it solve your issues?

Grrr...

I see 5 photos whenever I look at this thread. If they're not showing up then I guess I screwed something up.

Yes, the fuel pump repaired the car.

I'll try the photos again when I get home tonight.

The thumbnails are present now.

Your car is amazingly clean!

Is that an SSE spoiler?

What kind of fuel pressure reading were you getting before you changed the pump?

Thanks! From what I can tell, it's a lifelong Georgia car, so it doesn't have a speck of rust anywhere.

The spoiler, from what I can tell, is a F-body unit. However, it lines up and fits on the car just like it's designed for it.

I have no idea what fuel pressure readings it had. I based my diagnosis on the way it was performing---extended start times, and after a hard run (say, 20 miles on interstate) restart, it would occasionally stumble and buck. I knew the ignition system wasn't at fault, and the fuel pump was one of the few items on the car I haven't had hands on, it just made sense that it was the fuel pump.
Turns out, I was right!

I inherited it from my wifes aunt. needs paint and suspension work and other odds and ends, and be a good car. don't have money to fix it right now , lost the title some where in the house but will find and fix the old gurl. mikeh
