As I stated earlier, the original posters issue is transmission related. His problem has nothing to do with tire size. A fact that C&C proved with his calculation. Nobody wants to hear "its the transmission" and yet here we are. Just for fun, if the original posters tires randomly changed size while "on the fly", that would explain the higher RPM... wouldn't it? And if he had put different size tires on it then the RPM's AND the speedometer would be off. A full scan check by a good transmission shop will tell him everything he doesn't want to know.
