Refresh for an old friend

So it has been miserable lately, too much snow, waiting for Spring to finally arrive-so I put my 2000 Intrigue in the garage and did motor mounts, lower control arms, an oil change (Amsoil) and a detail.

I don't drive it anywhere near as much as I used to, but have to say that, at 170,000 miles (just rolled over that yesterday) it is still a great, quiet, tight and quick car (for it's size)-

Paint is still great, interior perfect, got 20 mpg on the last tank of mostly city-suburban driving. It has bluetooth, a 1200 watt dual speaker sub, led driving lights, shift kit and trans cooler with a aux fan, 235-55-17 Eagle GT's. and drilled/slotted rotors.

Feels like new again especially with the motor mounts and the Lower control arms. The 3.5 is a great engine, I've had this car for about 13 years and it is a true sleeper in that it is still quick, comfortable, handles great and looks great. Wish this site was more active, I still see many on the road and in local Craigslist ads, so it should be a classic with some cred IMO.

I am a new Intrigue owner (~172,000K), and due to northeast winters have the same plan to keep mine garaged during weeks when its not sensible to drive. Thanks for your poignant post too, I've dreamed of owning an Oldsmobile for a while now....these vehicles mean a lot because the last generation of them coincided with my high school graduation. But for many years, I haven't needed a car til' moving to upstate NY (with limited public transit) so I'm very proud I found one.

Miss that Olds 442? Believe it or not, Kia may have something for you. The Kia Stinger is a large sport-oriented hatchback sedan in the mold of the Audi A7.
