I'm about to buy a 2003 Limited Edition "Final 500" Aurora. It's the one with the deep burgundy paint scheme, special emblems, and special wheels.

Almost 30K miles, with some body damage unfortunately. (2 minor dents and numerous scratches). Interior is in excellent shape except for the Bose stereo. The paint on the buttons has worn off--How cheap!

Remainder of 6 yr/60K mile warranty. Seller will not budge from price of $18,500.

Any opinions? I think it's a fair deal, except I'll have to pay to have the exterior re-conditioned to an acceptable level.

Edmunds says the $$s are ok but I would see if you can get the dealer to fix the damage.

That seems like a good car for the money, I think mine was that much, and its not a final 500, it has a bunch of options, but I would go for it, jus tmake sure to get that damage checked out. Just curious, but what options/packages does it have?

Thanks for your feedback. This car has 'everything' except gold trim, engine block heater, navigation. I'm not sure what were truly options on the Final 500, but I'll list the goodies:
Bose, CD changer, power passenger seat, 'memory' driver seat, heated seats, dual AC control, sunroof, electrochromatic rearview mirror, traction control, rain-sensitive wipers. That's all I can remember for now.

Thats kind of like mine, I iwhs I had the navigation unit I do have bose and a cd changer though, so thats ok The memory seats are awsome for when my girlfriend wants to drive ( she likes to "sit" on the dash board) and the rain sensitive wipers are another awsome option, I didnt relize mine had them, but one time it started to rain and they scared the crap out of me. Heated seats should be awsome, I really havent used them, only to make sure they were working, im sure they will be used a lot when winter comes, along with the Traction control Do you have the Temp. controls on the steering wheel?? I do but im not sure if that was a standard option or not, thats another awsome option. As you can see I truley love my Aurora, and hope to never part with it But now it has me spoiled when I drive my girlfriends jeep or my alero

I know it's been several months, but I thought I'd post an update. I ended buying the Aurora for $17995 before taxes/fees. It came with a 5 year/60K mile warranty. I've already used the warranty to replace:
One window (scratched)
Two window motor regulators (made clunking noise)
Bose stereo (paint on buttons were flaking off)
Upholstery repair, and
Steering wheel controls (lights not working)

These were all problems that were present when I bought the car. I had another dealer fix all of them about a month after the purchase.

Do you still have your Final 500?
