71 Delta 88 ported vacuum sensor question

I just changed the intake and carb on my 71 455 from the 2 barrel to a 76 Quadrajet 4 barrel with the matching intake. When I was swapping over, there was a sensor with a wire going to the top of the ported vacuum sensor. the end of it came apart so for the time being I installed the one that was on the newer manifold but it does not have this sensor on top of it. Now I have this hot wire with a resistor on the end of it and don't know what it goes to. I don't know what to order if I don't know what it does or how it works. I don't see any pics online with this configuration of the ported vacuum sensor. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
