Intake Manifold Gasket 1997 Olds LSS

Tried my first post in the "other" category and got 0 responses, so I will try here. I have a 97 LSS (non-supercharged) that has a coolant leak. After a bunch of reading, it seems that the intake manifold could be a possible reason. (as well as the water pump which may also be the reason). Looked up the gasket since it would be a fairly easy, cheap and quick change, but was a little confused. Rockauto lists a 1st design and 2nd design. Does anyone know the difference? How do you know what you need? Any help would be appreciated.

Also, if anyone has answers to the question(s) in the "other" section, please feel free to respond. (I did get the blinkers working).

generally speaking, if a "2nd design" is available, you should choose that one. The "2nd design" is usually the improved design. And Fel-Pro is generally the most consistent manufacturer of high-quality gaskets.
