95 Oldsmobile 88 Stereo Install Issues

I'm putting a stereo in for my brother in his 95 Olds 88. I've gotten all of the wires run and everything is ready to put the dash back together, but I've run into a problem. There are so many more wires behind the head unit than there used to be (3 sets of RCAs, the main wire cluster, amp wires, etc.) that I'm unable to get the unit pushed all of the way back to where I can fasten it into the dash itself. The problem seems to be that all of the wires aren't routing themselves when I push the unit into the dash.

Basically, I need to get access behind the unit to physically route these wires as I push the unit back.

The easiest way that I can see to do this would be to remove the Climate panel above the stereo area, but I can't figure out how to pop out this panel to access behind it. Anyone who can help me with this would be massively appreciated. If you have a better idea on how to access behind the unit short of tearing the dash off that would be awesome as well.
