1999 Intrigue HVAC issue

My 1999 Intrigue has manual HVAC controls. The initial issue was the blower motor only working on high, but along with that is the rest of the controls not working. I've replaced the blower motor, blower motor resistor and the related fuses. I still can't change to outputs like defrost, defrost/floor, etc. and still have blower only on high.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

I believe the A/C controls are controlled by vacuum switching. Check for broken vacuum lines (and if not obvious go all the way back to the vacuum reservoir).

Similar problems occurred with my '00 Intrigue (quite a long time ago, hence my memory is a little vague) but what happened to mine was a rat chewed through the hard plastic vacuum line that ran along the firewall.

Thank you. I'll give that a go.

Miss that Olds 442? Believe it or not, Kia may have something for you. The Kia Stinger is a large sport-oriented hatchback sedan in the mold of the Audi A7.
