Unhappy Ron Memmer, Ron's Classic Cutlass Issue

Ron Memmer of Ron's Classic Cutlass of Monticello, Indiana recently took a look at some still boxed New old Stock parts I had for a 1971 442. He represented himself as a 442 expert and said I could trust his expert advice. He wrote down what he said were actual retail prices of my parts, as follows: Ram air hood $5000-$6000; fenders $2000 each; convertible quarters $1800 each; grill $500-$600; rear bumper $1000-$1200; and still in box sport Steering Wheel $400-$500. He said he wanted the steering wheel to complete a restoration of his. I found out the next day that he offered the steering wheel to someone for $1500, when I asked him about it he admitted that the sport steering wheels can go for up to $2200. Has anyone else dealt with this "you can trust me, I am an expert" routine?

Miss that Olds 442? Believe it or not, Kia may have something for you. The Kia Stinger is a large sport-oriented hatchback sedan in the mold of the Audi A7.
