Does anyone else dislike the real long signatures with pictures and stuff? It makes reading through threads kind of annoying because the same signatures are there over and over.

I've noticed some boards have the ability to only put it once per thread which makes it much better.

In lieu of that, does anyone else think they should be kept short?

LOL, it's not just you. Also, if everyone else likes those kinds of sigs, then that's cool. I just think they make a lot of clutter. How did you turn them off for multiples? I couldn't find it in my preferences, just whether to see them at all or not.

Maybe there could be a set limit as to how big the pics can be, and how many lines of writing they can have. just a thought.

I used my admin powers on BC and set a rule

1. 1 image no more the 500x250 pixels (max 35kb)
2. 2 images no more the 250x200 pixels
3. Max 8-10 lines of mods

There is a Enable Signatures button at the button of a post a reply box. If the Staff here at OF wishes, we should request that if a member posts multiple times in a thread, then don't show your sig in your subquent posts after your initial post..

Does that work?

There's likely a mod to set only 1 signature per person, per page.. But, I'm a little reluctant to start modding this place up with the upgrade coming very soon...

Then lets worry about this sig thing after the upgrade. Then once we get everything figured out and how to use stuff, you can start taking care of the little things, such as the sig issue.
