1997 Aurora - Yay or Nay

Before posting this I searched and searched for answers but couldn't find any so here we go. Looking to replace my 98 Town Car and just happened to find a 97 Aurora with just over 117,000 miles. I've always loved the styling of these cars so I'm really tempted to purchase with my heart instead of my head.

Do these engines suffer from the same head bolt/gasket problems as their Northstar relatives? I know it's probably not going to be as reliable as my Town Car but are they fairly reliable? I drive less than 10,000 miles per year so it's not going to get driven all over the place, mainly to work and back, less than 25 miles.

I'm going to look at it Saturday so any tips on what common problems to look for and what to avoid is MUCH appreciated.

Yes they have the head gasket issues, they also have oil pan leaks and many have had problems with the pass lock security system. They are great cars otherwise. I however did not care forthe turning radius on the 1st Gen Aurora. I owned one and went back to the 2nd Gen which I am on my 3rd 2nd Gen that I picked up 3 weeks ago.
