99 Won't Hold Idle Mechanic Can't Fix It?

I live 100+ miles from a certified mechanic for Olds, but have a local mechanic that has always been able to fix anything....

99 Olds Intrigue. Relatively new motor and most other parts under the hood..

Car starts, and as soon as you let your foot off the gas it dies.

Fuel pressure tests as steady, there are no codes, no check engine light, the position sensor was replaced, the ignition sensor was replaced, none of the other sensors seem to have any issues.

Still have the same problem...

Anyone have this issue before or have any idea what else could be wrong. The mechanic is at the point where he suggests we try and find someone else to look at it. This car had a new motor put in it <10K miles and this repair is already going to be expensive. I'd love any ideas people have.... THANK YOU
