95 olds 98 digital dash swap?

i would like to get a digital dash and put it in my 95 98. i have the digital climate controls (which i think it starting to go haywire) and i just say a digital dash for $30 on ebay but i will still have to get the hvac controls with it. is it just a plug and play or do i need to swap out the interior harness. i would like to get some auto headlight as well.

Okay... from experience..

It is plug and play...but the climate control needs to be the one with the four buttons like this one:

Also, the cluster will be this one:

The only catch is when you do the swap, your mileage will not match. You have to get the cluster programmed to match your mileage.

Also, on the climate control, the plug in the back has to match your cars plug. I learned that one the hard way too. Make sure the plug matches.

The 95 Ninety Eight came with twilight sentinel. That is the auto headlights you are referring to. There is a sensor on the dash that determines darkness and turns the headlights on.

This is the light switch that should be in your car:

i know that i can find that switch anywhere for the auto lights. the trouble i had finding the stupid climate control and the digital dash i might have found a hack to reprogram them. the only issues i might run into is that i didn't have a digital od to begin with.

Proceed with caution. A Oldsmobile tech told me back in the day the clusters were on the same mechanical system despite one being analog and one being digital.
